Because the quote from the March 2009 Visiting Teaching Message says to “hold fast to [the family] proclamation” you can give the Fast Break Candy Bar with a copy of “The Family – A Proclamation to the World.”

You can pick up a nice color printed original from the Church Distribution (if you live in Utah) for free, order it online for free or print the PDF file yourself.

Wrap a ribbon around it and attach this quote:

Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles: “I call upon members of the Church and on committed parents, grandparents, and extended family members everywhere to hold fast to [the family] proclamation, to make it a banner not unlike General Moroni’s ‘title of liberty,’ and to commit ourselves to live by its precepts.

Remember to highlight the word “fast” if you decide to give a Fast Break Candy Bar and “[the family] proclamation” if you decide to give a printed copy of The Family A Proclamation to the World.

Bonus: If you want to do even more you could also frame The Family A Proclamation to the World and gift it to your sister ready to display in her home.

    Whoops… I ment to post that comment on the Shamrock idea… I think this chocolate bar idea is great too, but I live in Canada and they don’t sell “Fast Break” candy bars. But another really good idea!
