Today’s Treat was something I should have thought of sooner, cause it’s too cute. I saw it on a few children’s websites (would have saved some time if they would have had templates). It still seemed simple enough for me to make and for you to print, so I decided it was definitely something worth designing. I think this is the one I’m going to use. I included several excerpts of Pres. Hinckley’s quote from October’s Message on each of the strips of paper which make up the Paper Pumpkin. …

Today’s Treat is designed and provided by Chris Christensen from St. George, UT. Thanks Chris!!! She designed these fun Visiting Teaching Tags which go along with October’s Message. She has even visited all of her sisters already. She’s so on top of things! She, plus all of you early birds, are my shining examples. I just love that you ladies are so dedicated to being “the first” instruments in the Lord’s hands. I want to be like all of you when I grow up.

Date Note: This is a previous post which was made to go along with the Oct, 2009 VT message, however it has a similar topic so we decided to add it here in the event that you would like it.
Seems like I have been thinking about what to design for this month’s Enhancer, for a while now. I read the October Visiting Teaching Message a week before October even started, so that I could get something up before the 1st. I’m a perfectionist and therefore have to wait for the …

D&C 123:11: “It is an imperative duty that we owe to all the rising generation.”
What Is My Responsibility to the Rising Generation?
Elder Neal A. Maxwell (1926–2004) of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles: “Reserved by the Lord for this time, [the rising generation] must now be preserved … and prepared for their special moment in human history! They have been held back to come forth at this time, but …

Today’s Treats come from a lot of different websites. (Let’s just say it’s more of a… buffet of treats today.) Yippy! General Conference is this weekend so we’re all (including the sisters you visit teach) trying to find some fun things for the kids and even for us adults to do. So many creative people have already designed tons of wonderful printables for General Conference, so I felt I needed to share these treasures with you. Print one off and drop it off to the sisters you Visit Teach, I …

Today’s Treat has yet another quote from September’s Visiting Teaching Message. (I think this could be my last treat/tag having to do with this month’s message.)
So, today my Visiting Teachers came over (with a treat too!) and although they didn’t share the exact quote below, they helped me to realize that we do the things we need to do so that we’re ready for the trials that come. Some have more faith than others and pray for trials, I don’t think I am even close to being there yet, praying …

Today’s Treat is another great enhancer for this month’s Visiting Teaching Message. When I said this month had great quotes, I meant it! I think this one is my favorite. Why? Well, it’s mainly because this one has something to do with being a “girl’s best friend.” That’s right ladies, lets get those diamonds out and show them off. No…j/k! I wanted us to remember that just like diamonds are a girls best friend, we too need to be a friend and more to the sisters we Visit Teach, we …

September’s Visiting Teaching Message has a lot of fun words we can get creative with. I love it when this happens! This Oak Tree printable was submitted by Gladys Araneda from Santiago, Chile. This is her 2nd time submitting a printable for us Visiting Teachers. Click here to view her first printable. She submitted it in Spanish and I translated it into English, so we could use this super cute tree too. She got the idea for the tree from the very first quote by Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin. This …

“Understand and Live the Gospel of Christ,” Ensign, Sep 2009, 61

How Can I Better Understand and Live the Gospel?
Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin (1917–2008) of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles: “Faithful members of the Church should be like oak trees and should extend deep roots into the fertile soil of the fundamental principles of the gospel. We should understand and live by the simple, basic truths and not complicate them. Our foundations should be solid and …

Today’s Treat is AMAZING! One of my personal faves, if I may say so myself. It’s a digitally scrapped, removable, book cover for our Relief Society “Teachings of Presidents of The Church: Joseph Smith Manual.” It’s in color, has a pic of Joseph Smith, has quotes from the August 2009 Visiting Teaching Message all over it, has a mini calendar on the back (cause I always need one) and a cool Visiting Teaching sticker on it too. See pics below. I’ve included detailed instructions, but it’s really easy. …
