Today’s Treat (Yes, I know it’s Saturday but I still owed you all one because I had to go out of town spur of the moment.)
Huge thanks to Gladys Araneda, from Santiago, Chile. Muchisimas gracias Gladys! I am posting some pre-made tags which she made, they can be attached to some No. 2 pencils. Take advantage of those Back-to-School specials and get a pack of pencils for the sisters you Visit Teach.
Here’s how her pencils turned out.
She attached the tags with Ribbons and even glued a little rose bud …

Today’s Treat can be made from some scraps of ribbon and some plastic craft canvas (the kind with a ton of squares usually for yarn projects). They are Ribbon Bookmarks! I made these myself and have them in my scriptures (quad) and are very handy and totally add color to your scriptures. Most importantly, they help me to know where I am for various studying needs, like Sunday School, Personal & Family Scripture Study and then just a couple others for scriptures I like to look back on. There are …

Today’s Treat is Olives! (yuck!) The word olive will stand for “all of” in the quotes below. For example: I love “olive” the fun Visiting Teaching Treats. Personally, I don’t like olives so it’s a good thing I was able to find a lot of products which are made from them so that I am not forced to eat or cook with them whole. LOL You can attach these fun tags to anything having to do with olives. Oh and quote 67 goes perfectly with this month’s message, because it …

Just thought of this Temple Dress idea a couple nights ago and finally got a chance to design it for you all. Yippy!! The perfect handout for July 2009′s Visiting Teaching Message. I love it, but then again who doesn’t love dresses? This “Modest” Temple Dress has a bit of a huge skirt which is needed in order to fit all of July’s message. Also doubles as a Temple Wedding Dress. Oh and there’s a recipe to make Angel Food Cake on the 4th skirt. You can leave it out …

Today’s Treat is also an enhancer and a perfect group/family activity!
65. Sugar Cubes built to look like a Temple. My clever husband came up with this idea. He said to say “Attending the Temple allows us to receive sweet blessings.” or “Sweet blessings come from attending the Temple.” Sweet because of all of the Sugar Cubes and Temple because it’s in the shape of a Temple. You get the idea. Then attached to this month’s Visiting Teaching Message. So, I searched to see if there were any images or …

Today’s Treat is an appointment reminder! I figured it’d be a great way to start off the month by getting us excited to set appointments now. It’s a fun treat to remind your sisters when you’ll be coming by to visit them. Remember, you need to make appointments first and then drop this treat w/ note off a day or 2 before to let them know you’re still coming. Click on some of the images to get recipes if you need them, otherwise buy the pre-packaged ones. Note: If you …
